Tips: Transfer File From Windows to Mac

Memandangkan Alkisah akan berhijrah

maka file file dalam lappy company ni pun kena la berhijrah.

Besau besau plak file dalam nie

Dah la external harddisk problem

Gampang betui..

Jadi sebagai seorang Network Engineer

Ewahh gitu plak..

Alkisah nak tak nak kena transfer file dari lappy ke iMac buat sementara waktu.

Inilah satu satunya pc yang ada kat dalam rumah nie.

Kalau korang tak sure macam mana nak buat, 

meh sini Alkisah kongsi tips : transfer file dari Windows to Mac.

Sharing is Caring

Bahan-bahannyee:
1- laptop atau pc windows
2- Macbook atau Imac
3- router DLINK atau switch yang mempunyai lebih dari satu ethernet port
4- Cable RJ45 (cable network)


Cara Setting Mac Os
1- Click on the Apple Menu (the Apple icon in the top left hand corner of the screen)
2- Select “System Preferences…”

3- While in System Preferences, click on “Sharing”
4- Make sure the box next to “File Sharing” is checked
5- While “File Sharing” is highlighted, click the small “+” located beneath “Shared Folders:”
6- Choose the desired folder to be shared (it can be just one folder, or an entire account folder)
7- Make sure the account that is being shared has “Read & Write” access by clicking on the up and down arrows next to the user name and choosing “Read & Write”
8- Click on “Options”, located below the “Users:” box

9- Make sure “Share files and folders using SMB” is checked
10- Make sure that your user name is checked
11- Click “Done”

Cara Setting Windows:
1-  Click on the “Start” menu (the Windows icon) in the bottom left hand corner of the screen
2- Select “Control Panel”
3- If you are using the “Classic View”, double-click on “Network and Sharing Center”
4- If you are not using the “Classic View”, click on “Set up file sharing”, located beneath “Network and Internet”

5- While in the Network Sharing Center, click on the small arrow located to the right of “File sharing” and choose “Turn on file sharing”, then click “Apply”

Actually dalam Mac OS sendiri dah ada satu folder yang dinamakan Public, dimana Public folder sebagai Hub untuk korang pindahkan file.

Cara nak connect Windows ke Mac

Just type in  \\< ip address iMac/ Macbook>

Camano nak dapatkan ip address iMac/ Macbook?

1- Click on the Apple Menu (the Apple icon in the top left hand corner of the screen)
2- Select “System Preferences…”
3- Click "Network"

Kat situ tertera ip address korang.

ok type ip address seperti kat bawah nie di Windows.

Click folder Public dan korang dah boleh start transfer file.
