1. Thomas Eisfeld dilahirkan pada 18 Januari, 1993 di Finsterwalde, Jerman.

2. Kelab sebelum Arsenal adalah SV Quitt Ankum, VfL Osnabruck dan kemudian akademi Borussia Dortmund. 

3. Eisfeld telah menjadi sebahagian akademi Dortmund selama tujuh tahun. Akademi yang sama telah menghasilkan seperti Mario Götze, Kevin Großkreutz dan Marcel Schmelzer. Musim ini, beliau telah menjaringkan enam gol dan telah membuat enam assist dalam 12 penampilan untuk Under-19s.

4. Beliau adalah kapten Pasukan Jerman bawah 15 tahun.

5. Beliau mengalami kecederaan ligamen cruciate pada tahun 2009, yang dianggap menghancurkan kerjayanya tetapi Arsenal telah melakukan pemeriksaan perubatan serta mengesahkan kecergasan sebelum menandatangani beliau.

Wenger mengeluarkan kenyataannya,

"He has the good ingredients that could allow him to integrate into the quality of our team—the basics are technique, good movement and skill. We believe that he has a chance to develop well here. How much first-team football he has depends on him. Basically we planned to get him at the end of the season, but we got him a bit earlier because he was at the end of his contract. We will use this period for adaptation."
