Astro Broadcast Traineeship

The Broadcast Traineeship will train you in eight different skill areas:

• Broadcast Operator
• Audio
• Commentary and Communications
• Camera
• CCU - Camera Control Unit
• Field Technician
• Record/Replay - EVS/VTR
• Lighting

If you hold an undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification or suitable industry experience, you are invited to submit an application for the 2012 Broadcast Traineeship, which commences on 1st March 2012. Complete the Broadcast Traineeship Enrolment Form and make sure you include clear documentation of your academic and work experience and reasons why you should be considered for a trainee position with Astro.

Interviews for entry to the traineeship will commence from October 2011.

Would you like a career in the television industry? Astro is offering broadcast traineeships for 2012 and you could soon be a camera, sound, lighting or special effects operator.
We have 15 traineeship places available, where you will receive:

• 34 weeks vocational training from March to November 2012
• An allowance of RM1500 per month across the training period
• Two days per week in workshop/classes and three days per week working on Astro productions
• Over 500 hours of in-field experience on studio and outside broadcast events
